Business Development Analyst

Job Description

As a Business Development Analyst, you will report to the Director of Development and will work closely with Business Development professionals within the department. The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for completing financial analysis on individual and portfolio level project economics and proposal generation for each of those project classes. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited too the following:  

Responsibilities

  • Work with Business Development Professionals on project proposal and economic evaluation

    • Project Modeling

      • PPA Rate Evaluation

    • Customer side economic evaluation

      • Energy savings calculations

      • Project revenue, tax, and cashflow evaluation

    • Proposal generation & finishing

  • Solar market policy and incentive review and upkeep

    • Gather understanding of state and federal level incentives available for applicable projects and incorporate into financial analysis and proposal work product

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or relevant field 

  • Solar development / sales experience (is a plus but not required)

  • Two (2) + Years of professional experience is preferred

  • Ability to understand and manipulate financial models

  • Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, ability to use and understand financial models

  • Salesforce experience is a plus

  • The ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment and develop creative solutions to problems

  • The ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate completion of numerous proposals and economic evaluations on a weekly basis

  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
