Business Development Associate – CT/RI/MA Focus

Job Description

The Business Development Associate will report to the Director of Development and will directly manage all aspects of lead origination and sales of market specific solar products within each respective market. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

  • Originate and manage new business relationships through completion of the following sales and project milestones

    • Project Origination

    • Project Proposal / Initial Meeting

    • Site Evaluation

    • Proposal Acceptance

    • Signed Contract

    • EPC Handoff

    • Relationship Management

  • Conduct calls, webinars, and in person meetings with new, potential, and existing clients

  • Work with third party marketing and lead generation firms

  • Attend relevant networking events and conferences

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or relevant field 

  • Solar development / sales experience is a plus but not required

  • Five (5) + Years of General Sales or Real Estate development experience

  • Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, ability to use and understand financial models

  • Salesforce experience is a significant plus

  • The ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment and develop creative solutions to problems

  • The ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate numerous meetings on a weekly basis

  • The ability to market and sell to a specific customer base
