WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – October 20, 2026 – Madison Energy Infrastructure, a leading clean energy infrastructure company, and Verogy, a West Hartford, Connecticut-based distributed generation developer and construction company, today announced the completion of a major new clean energy project for the Beaver Water District (BWD) in Northwest Arkansas. Originated, developed, and financed by Madison Energy Infrastructure and constructed by Verogy, the 7.224 MW DC (5 MW AC) Beaver Water District Solar Park is expected to generate approximately 12,300 MWh of renewable energy each year, meeting 15 to 20 percent of BWD’s electricity needs while advancing the District’s goals around affordability, sustainability, and resilience.
The project is a single-axis tracker system comprised of more than 15,000 solar panels generating enough clean energy to power nearly 1,140 homes each year. In addition, it is projected that the installation will offset an estimated 8,264 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) annually, the equivalent of removing nearly 2,000 passenger vehicles from the road or eliminating over 21 million miles driven by an average gasoline-powered passenger vehicle every year.
Based in Lowell, Arkansas, Beaver Water District serves over 425,000 customers in Northwest Arkansas. The District has earned national recognition for sustainability, including the 2023 Sustainable Water Utility Management Award from the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies. BWD selected Madison Energy Infrastructure through a competitive RFP process to deliver the solar project, with Madison leading development, contracting, and financing, while partnering with Verogy to oversee design, procurement, permitting, and construction. BWD estimates the solar installation will generate $7 million to $11 million in lifetime savings, helping to manage long-term operating costs as demand for water service continues to rise.
“This solar installation strengthens our ability to deliver safe, affordable, and reliable water to the communities we serve,” said Beaver Water District CEO M. Lane Crider, P.E. “It lowers long-term operating costs, supports regional growth, and reinforces our commitment to sustainability. Our customers will benefit from this investment for decades to come.”
“The best infrastructure comes from real partnerships, not one-off transactions. Beaver Water District trusted us with a critical piece of its energy future, and we knew we could trust Verogy to deliver,” said Ryan Coakley, Chief Development Officer of Madison Energy Infrastructure. “This is community infrastructure at its best: a new solar array directly across the street from the District’s water treatment plant, delivering resilience and savings where it matters most.”
“Our work with Beaver Water District represents the best of what clean energy can do for public utilities: reduce costs, increase resilience, and support thoughtful long-range planning,” said Will Herchel, CEO of Verogy. “BWD is a forward-thinking utility, and we’re proud to have helped deliver a project that will serve its customers and the region for many years.”
The Beaver Water District Solar Park is Verogy’s second major Arkansas project and reflects Verogy’s growing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) footprint nationwide, as utilities, municipalities, and businesses seek reliable, cost-saving renewable energy solutions.
