    Annual production—enough to offset the CO2 emissions from 6,692 average homes for a year.

  • Approval

    Pursuant to Connecticut General Statute §16-50, Husky Solar requires approval from the Connecticut Siting Council. Verogy will also be working closely with municipal departments in Sterling and Plainfield throughout the development of the project. Husky Solar will also obtain a General / SWPP Permit from CT DEEP, as well as a Self Verification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

  • Economic Impact and Job Creation

    New Municipal Tax Revenues

    • Husky Solar will create new municipal tax revenues in excess of $600,000 per year over the life of the project split between Plainfield and Sterling.
    • Husky Solar will provide over $900,000 in upfront payments prior to starting construction, split between Plainfield and Sterling.

    Construction and Long Term Job Creation

    • Husky Solar will be developed and built by Verogy, a Connecticut based company. Verogy will hire new full time electricians and technicians in support of the project, as well as Connecticut based engineers, environmental scientists, attorneys, and consultants, followed by the creation of hundreds of new construction jobs.
