Verogy is in the midst of a significant growth phase, given a significant recent long-term investment to scale the organization’s operations and team. As such, we are adding a new position, Corporate Counsel, to ensure we have dedicated resources to lead, manage and implement the daily legal operations.
The Corporate Counsel will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and will be directly responsible for managing all day-to-day legal aspects of the company’s operations, including but not limited to drafting, negotiating and finalizing all major project agreements, developing a more robust legal document repository for use across Verogy’s business and project development efforts, assisting in closing project finance and corporate finance transactions through transaction document review and negotiation, and aiding the rollout of Verogy’s project pipeline through applicable legal and transactional efforts.
This is a terrific opportunity for a recent law school graduate who has either worked in a firm but desires to move in-house with a focus on transactional legal work and/or a recent graduate who seeks to go directly in-house, take on significant responsibility “day one”, and expand and continue to raise the bar of a 6-year-old start up legal function. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized and detail oriented, and has the ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally / part of a dynamic team.

Verogy has entered a significant growth phase and is expanding our team from ~30 to ~40 in 2023, and we anticipate a similar or greater growth trajectory in the coming years. In addition to bringing on several new team members, we are seeking to optimize several processes and systems that will enable our business development (sales) efforts. To that end, we are seeking a terrific Business Development Analyst to execute the generation and delivery of proposals for our prospective clients.
As a Business Development Analyst, you will bring your passion for renewable energy, an orientation to detail, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to play a key role in the management and delivery of timely, accurate, detailed, and economically viable project proposals to our prospective clients. In this role, you will develop deep, detailed knowledge about the financial drivers of economically successful solar projects, the state-level incentive programs that support increased deployment of solar projects, and the ownership structures that exist to enable a variety of parties to own solar projects.
You will work directly with our collaborative and egalitarian 5-person Finance team, which includes two of the company’s founders. You will work directly with our two long-tenured Business Development Analysts, who are experts in using our financial models to produce project proposals. You will also work cross-functionally with members of our engineering team, in order to gather the inputs necessary to complete your analyses.
The ideal candidate for this role is detail oriented, self-motivated, coachable, has strong judgment, and possesses outstanding communication and collaboration skills. Your focus and productivity as a Business Development Analyst will ultimately enable revenue generation for the firm, and will also provide significant exposure to the founding team.
This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. While this can be a remote work arrangement, we are ideally looking for someone within driving distance to our West Hartford, CT office so you can come into the office at least 2x a month to develop relationships with your colleagues.

We are seeking a terrific Talent Operations Manager to support and manage our talent operations. As Talent Operations Manager, you will play a key leadership role in staff recruiting and onboarding; human resources operations; team building and culture activities; and diversity, equity and inclusion priorities. In this role, you will support all aspects of full-cycle staff recruitment, onboarding, systems management and process optimization. You will play a critical role in helping deliver an exceptional employee experience and enabling the work of the growing team. You will foster high levels of collaboration and coordination across our team to ensure effective service delivery and agility to achieve Verogy’s business priorities.
This is a newly created position and one in which you will be a key contributor to the ongoing growth of our team; as such, you will have an opportunity to help craft the scope of the role and build various aspects of Verogy’s people function from the ground up. This role will offer you significant exposure to partner with the founding executive team, as well as exciting opportunities to learn and grow with the organization as a rising People executive. The ideal candidate for this role is self-motivated, has strong judgment, and possesses outstanding project management, communication, and collaboration skills. You enjoy building processes and building efficiencies with input from the end user, as well as adjusting based on what we are learning over time.
This role reports to the Chief Legal Officer. While this is largely a remote work arrangement, we are looking for someone in driving distance to our West Hartford, CT office so you can come into the office at least 2x a month as well as during the days when new team members are onboarding (typically 2-3 days in a row) and during our annual audit (and we welcome you to work out of the office as often as you like).

The Procurement Manager will work under the direction of the head of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Department.
